ASUS ROG GLADIUS III Wireless AP 2.4GHz Dongle Pair Failed Solution

Recently, I upgraded my mouse to the ROG Gladius III Wireless AimPoint. On the first day of receiving it, I updated the firmware to the latest version to enable the OMNI receiver feature, which allows both a keyboard and mouse to connect simultaneously using a single receiver. Everything worked perfectly at first—I paired it with my ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless keyboard, and the setup ran smoothly.

However, after some time, I decided to unpair them and revert back to stock. About a week later, I discovered that the 2.4GHz wireless connection on the mouse had stopped functioning. I attempted to pair it again through Armoury Crate / Armoury Gear using the OMNI receiver tool, but regardless of what I selected, the process failed and eventually displayed a “Pair Failed” message. I also tried the reset method described on the ASUS forums (pressing Left + Right + Scroll + DPI buttons simultaneously), but this did not resolve the issue either.

At this point, I was frustrated and considering returning the mouse. Then I recalled that I had previously updated the firmware using ASUS’s official package. After re-running the firmware upgrade tool, the mouse became fully operational again, and the 2.4GHz wireless mode was restored.

For anyone encountering the same issue, I recommend downloading and reinstalling the official ASUS firmware package for the ROG Gladius III Wireless AimPoint. Download Page

Just re-run the update and it should automatically fix and repair the 2.4GHz wireless mode and upgrade the receiver to OMNI receiver
